A puzzle parking system is classified as a semi-automated parking system. Meaning a trained (non-valet) parker may self-park their own vehicle.
The EPS system offers a remote or code entry interface for residents, employees or students.
Once the car is parked the vehicle is lifted either up and down, and shuttled to the left and right. The system can be installed above or below grade or a combination of both.
This type of system is also known as a Lift & Slide, Pit Puzzle or Puzzle Park.

The reason this system is called a vertical puzzle is because it can slide left to right and up and down in order to park and retrieve a customer’s vehicle.
