Elevated Parking will soon offer Automated Bike Storage

Eco-friendly sustainable commuting is becoming mainstream and predictions only expect this trend to grow. With the increasing interest and people converting to bikes, urban infrastructures will be required to adapt.

Providing affordable secure parking spaces for bicycles is one of the important infrastructural incentives which greatly encourages commuters to use their bicycles. Knowing that there are available secure parking spaces at the destination or transit hubs, commuters will be more inclined to use bicycles as transportation. Currently, there are several challenging factors that affect the commuters’ decision to use bikes as transportation such as:

  • Non-sufficient bike parking upon arrival
  • Theft and vandalism
(whole bike, or components of the bike ex: seat, tire, handlebar, etc.)
  • Crowded racks
  • Locks and chains that don’t fit
  • No charging ports for electric bikes

The existing traditional parking facilities and solutions, such as Bike racks, cages or, even rooms, do not provide sufficient protection against theft, vandalism and other items mentioned above. Current secure products are expensive and/or have no automation associated with them and take up valuable real estate.

Elevated’s Automated Bike Parking Sanctuaries (ABPS) offer an affordable innovative secure bike parking & charging solution in urban and rural areas using existing parking lots and garages, allowing for a network of secure bike parking across Michigan, the US and the world.

Automated bike parking and charging revolutionizes the way cyclists secure their bikes in urban settings, offering a blend of efficiency, security, and convenience. As cities strive to promote sustainable transportation options, automated bike parking systems offer a promising solution to address the challenges of limited space, sustainable commuting and growing demand for bike storage.

Elevated’s ABPS can transform any existing parking lot, space or garage into a safe haven for cyclists, while using less land and creating a healthy and sustainable mobility platform.

Our current design can securely park and charge 35 bikes using just two conventional parking garage spaces and double that amount in parking lots and garages with no height restrictions.
